The Mirror (I)

700,00 / On Sale

The Mirror (I) is part of the "Sacred Time" collection. The collection gets its name because summer is conceived as an invisible temple: a time of year when we look at ourselves and undertake a change. It is a spiritual time, where the everyday is dressed in ritual.
Therefore, each work in the collection incorporates elements that border on the magical and the symbolic. In The Mirror, the horses represent life, as recalled in the novel Memoirs of Hadrian.

The figure, tinged with wine red—the color of the earth and Mediterranean memory—directs its gaze toward an uncertain, yet serene and luminous horizon. Its eyes shine, because in brilliance lies the spark of life. And although it searches for its reflection, it remains already full of vital energy.
